Het Geheime wapen!

Het papa monster verslaan is toch nog niet zo makkelijk…
Maar superhelden Miley en Haley werken in het geheim aan hun geheime wapen…

My baby hungry!? My baby gets a little milk. No exceptions.

I’m feeling hurt and judged. And I’m sick of it!
She is a baby! She needs to eat too. No, I’m not giving her a bottle just because you feel uncomfortable! My own milk is golden, and she deserves gold. Always.  If I’m not giving her my breast when she needs it, I’m not only taking away her food. I’m breastfeeding her because she is fragile because she needs the antibodies because she needs to grow because she needs her brain to develop because she needs a rest because she needs to eat and drink because she needs to feel safe and nurtured and loved because she needs her mom. And I need her.

People sending us away, or shaming us for breastfeeding in public, is a sign of their own ignorance and twisted backward minds.
In their mind, the only purpose of the breast is sexual. Therefore (partially) seeing them attached to a little baby, is also a sexual act.
That infuriates me. It’s the world upside down. It’s wrong to think like that.
It’s so mean and unfair to force such an ugly opinion on to others.

Breast are attached to our bodies to feed babies.
Of course, I get that they can be sexual too, but only on the right occasion, the right setting.

If you are feeding a baby, you attend to the baby’s fundamental needs and rights. There is absolutely no sexual thing about it.
In fact, a mother feeding her child is sweet, endearing, natural and completely normal.

A mother should never have to feel ashamed to feed her child. Anywhere, anytime, No exceptions.

Aaahhhggg! Het duurt zo laaanggg!

Wachten op iets waar je verschrikkelijk erg naar verlangt is zo er moeilijk!
Helemaal als je een 4 jarig meisje bent die op het punt staat een GROTE ZUS te worden!

Deze laatste weken van de zwangerschap van Haley waren werkelijk waar onvergetelijk! De manier waarop Miley bezig was met de komst van haar nieuwe kleine baby zusje was echt hartverwarmend. Bij elke bezigheid had ze haar kleine zusje en haar rol als grote zus in gedachte. Ze verheugde zich op het samen spelen, knuffelen, verzorgen en het onder haar vleugel nemen van “haar” baby zusje om haar alles te leren wat ze weet. Ze was een ware inspiratie, eentje die moest worden vereeuwigd.

Dit digitale geboortekaartje is eigenlijk helemaal door Miley tot stand gekomen. Veel nadenken over het filmpje was niet nodig, we hoefden alleen vast te leggen wat er al was. Het overweldigende gevoel van anticipatie en liefde van dit 4 jarige meisje… Niets is ge-acteerd. Elk moment in de video zijn echte candid momentjes uit ons leven. Alles wat ze zegt zijn haar eigen woorden die ze de afgelopen weken keer op keer aan ons herhaald heeft. Dus ik schreef ze op en toen ik vroeg of ze deze nogmaals wilde zeggen in de microfoon, kwaen de zinnen er zo natuurlijk uit. Het waren tenslotte haar eigen woorden.

Deze lieve kleine Haley is zo erg welkom in ons kleine gezinnetje.
We zijn blij dit moment te hebben vastgelegd om te koesteren voor altijd.

370K views on Vimeo! Woah… deze zagen we even niet aankomen.
Deze video was in eerste instantie ge-upload op VIMEO en is daar meer dan 370K keer bekeken! Totaal viral gegaan in Nederland en Belgie! Inmiddels hebben we de video ook op onze nieuwe YouTube channel Wild & Boho gezet!

We zijn inmiddels een jaar later, en na veel verzoekjes hebben we het gedaan, Miley heeft de voiceover in het engels gedaan! We zijn zo trots op haar! Super knap voor een kindje van 5 in een vreemde taal!

Aaahhhggg Its Taking so looonggg!
Waiting for something you long for sooo bad is incredibly hard.
Especially for a 4 year old girl who is about to become a BIG SISTER!

It has been an unforgettable and beautiful experience to have seen our oldest daughter pine for her baby sister the last couple of weeks of the pregnancy. Every thing she did she had her little sister to come in mind… She imagined playing with her, cuddling with her and teaching her everything she knows! She has been the inspiration for making this birth announcement.

This feeling of anticipation overwelming our 4 year old… Nothing is acted, all the images are real-life. Everything she says in the voice-over are things she kept on repeating to us in the past weeks. So i wrote them down and asked her to say them again in the microphone. Because they where her own words it just came out so naturally.

Sweet little baby Haley couldn’t be more wanted in our little family.
We just felt the need to capture this moment and cherish it for ever…

370K views on Vimeo! Woah… we didn’t see that one coming.

It feels like our little Haley has been here for ever with us. We almost can’t imagine a life without her…
But back then the waiting those last weeks of my pregnancy seemed like an eternity for the soon to be big sister Miley… and then, finally.

On 22 februari 2015 our youngest daughter Haley was Born.
As a Birth announcement we made this video of our oldest daughter Miley waiting impatiently for her sister to come out and play.

The original version of this video was in Dutch and we uploaded to Vimeo where the video was viewed more than 370K times and went viral in the Netherlands and Belgium. We also uploaded it on our YouTube channel now.

We are one year later, and after lots of requests, Miley re-did the voice-over in English, and here it is!
We are so proud of her since her native language is Dutch, and she did it a pretty good job doing it in a foreign language!

Hey there babygirl… so, we are “Fullterm”
It’s okey if you want to stay in there a bit longer… just be gentle on my ribs, they are getting a bit sore.
Your big sister is asking for you every day at least 20 times. But don`t let her or anyone rush you…
You come out when you feel ready to. I trust you.

24 weeks pregnant and wandering around on ibiza.

It’s so beautiful here… its like my pregnant brain can’t register all the beauty surrounding me.
Feeling so happy and thankful i get the opportunity to travel to these new places for work,
and the best thing is… i have the hottest co-worker ever. Love to spend every second of every day with my soulmate and father of my kids.
