Family Traveling with 3 small kids in van
Come with us, step in our 1966 Volkswagen van, and travel 3.528km with 3 small kids at a max .of 85km/hr. for 5 weeks.
As always, there will be exploring, there will be laughter, there will be wonder and joy. But there will be (especially with 3 kids) struggles, tears, frustration, and the van will definitely break down on some point (because it always does. Trust us, we are traveling with this van for 10 years now. We know the drill) But that’s the reality of traveling with kid and a 60-year-old van.
As professional Filmmakers and photographers, it’s in our nature to document all things happening in our lives.
We want to take people on our longest journey we ever took with our 3 kids. Documenting this journey and showing all the things we encounter along the way!

The Movie
An artistic storytelling movie about our adventure. With beautiful cinematographic shots, touching moments, the troubles and lessons learned along the way. Sharing our thoughts and feelings. We will take you take you with us. Telling our story from 5 perspectives, 5 voices, 5 experiences. Collecting our most beautiful images and showing the most intense moments to tell our story. The good, happy, wonderful as well as the bad and sad. Emotional and sincere. Show you all the beautiful places we’ve been to and live the moments through our point of view as well as the experience through the eyes of our children.
The online series of 4-6 episodes.
Our travels documented in a grounded funny, raw, hand-held, vlog-style vlog series that show you our day to day lives on the road.
Including backstage shooting the special images for our film during our travels while taking care of 3 kids, in a strange country, living in a van.

2018 - 1 week Black forrest
We went to the black forest with our current family situation. us with 3 kids, a 1-year-old, 3-year-old and a 7-year-old. The ages the kids were in, was a huge travel challenge. One week on the road is all we could take. This year our family dynamic is a bit better suited for long travel.

2016 - 1 Amsterdam - Barcelona
With our 2 kids eldest kids (Quinn wasn’t born yet!), From Amsterdam to Barcelona in 4 weeks time. We visited 3 spots where we stayed a longer period. The van broke down 1 time. This year we will re-visit some of these places and we added a LOT more spots to our travel list.

Why not just make a short video again?
These shorts are beautifull but do’nt tell the whole story.
We never feel more alive than on the road. And our next adventure is going to be exceptionally beautiful! That is why we want to take it to the next level.
This time we don’t want to make a short overview clip of 4 to 6 minutes. We want to make a complete movie illustrating our experiences, philosophy and emotions on the road. Showing everyone what drives us to head out and travel this way.
And at the same time show the raw “real life” unromanticized version of our journey in a Docu-series. All the things we left out of the movie, day to day stuff, funny moments but the complete satbacks with video-diary’s and show you how we shot the footage for the film, making the docu-series a backstage series of our film.

Going from one place to another, seeing so many different places. Meeting so many different people… And everything around us changes all the time. Except for one. We have each other… and a little van we call home for the next 32 days…
As a family, you grow closer together in an adventure like this. It’s not always easy having 3 small children with you on the road. But nothing worth doing ever is. So we work hard and enjoy life harder. Growing rich in experiences and love!
Kids see and experience the world differently than most adults. By traveling with them we get to see this world through their eyes. They unveil their perspective of an almost parallel universe filled with endless curiosity, magic, and wonder. Noticing the weirdest little details and creating their own story.

We estimate that our mapped out road will take us on an adventure for 32 days. But like all things in life! Nothing ever goes as planned, and we are counting on that!
If the van breaks down, if one of us gets a bit ill, or some other things that we can’t think of right now happens… it will take us longer to complete our tour.
