Haley got a bit high after dentist appointment!

Month VLOG Feb 2018 – This month we took Haley our 3-year-old to the dentist and she came home all funny and fuzzy! Kind of sad but funny at the same time. Our camera and car broke, Haley turned three, we went to do lots of fun stuff together, and Holland froze over while we couldn’t manage to keep our home warm.

Check out this month’s adventures of our family and be sure to subscribe to be updated on all new uploaded video’s!

Where the WILD things are…

This girl is turning 3 years old, and I think since day one she always felt like she owed the place. And with “the place” I mean literally every place she sets foot. Walking around with a straight back, a confident tread and determent brave look in her eyes. She is boss! She owns it. Fearless. She will do whatever she sets her mind to. Absolutely no one will be able to stop her. You may think you can, but you won’t. She has lots and lots of important things to do, and she’s making them up as she’s going. Because that’s her style, and that’s working just fine for her.

Life is just one big Adventure… and there must be nothing more wonderful than being a Haley of 3 years old, right here right now.
SO Happy birthday our little Wild Haley. May you always feel as confident and fearless as you are now! You are amazing!

Watch here the Birthday photo we made for her this year “WHERE THE WILD THINGS ARE” inspired.
And the rest of the photo’s we took that day.

Making art with our kids!

I am really proud of Michiel for making this video and going outside his comfort zone and doing a voiceover for the very first time!
He really wanted to participate with contributing to this blog and start making videos and blog posts. And I am so excited he is actually making a big effort to take part! So here the first of hopefully many blog and video posts from Michiel, to show you guys the dad’s perspective in our lives!

But as usual with firsts, the insecurity kicks in… and I hear him asking me  “Jolanda tell me hounestly, is it good enough!? it’s not isn’t it…”
Well, I definitely think its good enough!!! It’s honest, sincere, from the heart and real. Especially when you know that it’s the first time he had done a voiceover, which made him completely awkward. So I give him extra Bonus points for daring to push beyond his comfort zone and being open and vulnerable. That’s why I love this man.

What do you guys think!? Want to see more of his content on the site and witness him getting more comfortable with sharing his thoughts with you guys!?

Michiel about the video:
Watch our 7-year-old daughter Miley making art!
With this portrait of my daughter Miley I draw I wasn’t sure what to do with the colors, so I drew the lines and hung it on the wall for a good 6 months if not longer. Until Miley came up with the idea of giving it some color herself! I only had to tell her ones and she picked it up so fast. She loved working together with me creating this painting together and the end result could not have been any better.

Expecting Wild

So lets be honest… from the 38th week in pregnancy I’m not the most charming person around. I only fit my biggest maternity joggers and I can walk (or actually wobble) around for a max of 10 minutes before crashing. And i skip doing my hair or make-up all together. So, i’m not even trying any more. I accept the fact that i’m going to be a big fat clumsy whale until giving birth. And after that I will be a big jiggly and wobbly pudding mommy… but. The happiest and luckiest jiggly mom there can be!

We will be the proud parents of three beautiful little girls! And then it hit me… this will probably be the last time ever being pregnant. Never again will my belly be this big. Never again i will feel new life growing inside me! Never again i will get to wonder how she will look, how her character will be, how her voice will sound.

Especially the last couple of weeks of pregnancy are just too surreal… a full-term baby, ready to be born is moving around in there. But when? The waiting, expecting, wondering. It’s all such a precious experience.

So we decided to celebrate this moment and capture it’s beauty, power and romance in this photoshoot. Getting myself off the couch, out of my comfy stretchy pants and wide sweater… and in to the prettiest outfits I could still fit into. (Not much as you can see) Making an effort to do my hair and even put on a little bit of make-up!

And yes, i know… my belly is really huge. And I decided to be extremely proud of it! As i’m also going to be of my body after giving birth… so thankful for my 3 baby girls it has given me. I will be giving myself time and respect to heal while my body nourishes my two youngest daughters. The woman’s body is so strong and giving. Never thought I could do all of this… I’m in awe of all that is happening at this moment.  I’m just so thankful.

Today is the 29th… three days past my due date. But i’m not holding my breath. She is quite comfy in there. Im guessing she will present herself around 41 weeks. Just as her sisters did! In the meantime we are being patient and happy what every day brings us while we wait on the new little Wild child.
